Our Practice is highly patient focused and we have a multidisciplinary approach to patients’ health care. We aim to deliver the best for our patients by combining the skills of the practice team with other health and social care workers in the community.
We provide modern health care facilities and focus on continually improving the health of our patients and residents of the community.
A ‘healthy lifestyle’ is what we recommend:

- Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg
- Exercise regularly
- Keep alcohol intake within recommended limits
This website is aimed at providing you the important information about our practice, our services and our staff in addition to some other useful information and tools available for you to use. You can raise an appointment or order a repeat prescription through this website. From 1st April 2015 patients will have online access to view part of their medical record summary – medications, allergies and more.

On the 4th October 2016 Harraton Surgery and Springwell House Surgery (Durham Road, Sunderland) merged into one company known as I J Healthcare.
The branches are now known as I J Healthcare @Harraton Surgery & I J Healthcare @Springwell House Surgery and these will remain as two separate sites.
The merger allows patients from both surgeries access to the other surgery should they wish.
