This will be done by our Practice Nurse and should be done every 3 years as a routine check for 25-49 year olds and 5 yearly for 50-64 year olds. Cervical screening is not a test for cancer.
It is a method of preventing cancer by detecting and treating early abnormalities which, if left untreated, could lead to cancer.
